I used to get pain in my wrist on my mouse-hand. I found getting a larger, more ergonomically designed mouse and putting a book under the mousepad to reduce the angle of my wrist helped eliminate the pain.

Use the computer a different way or don't use it for a while. Ice the area and if it is really painful then take ibuprofen, or use ibuprofen gel on the area. Be careful you can develop tendonitis or carpal tunnel from overuse of the computer without proper support. Don't let it develop into something more than it needs to be, stop using the computer for a few days and it might do the trick, like resting a sprained ankle. (I speak from experience!)

If you saw your arm off at the shoulder, you won't feel pain around your wrist. There may be other problems but the wrist pain will definitely go.

I've been using computers all my life and have never had problems, but I then recently at work started on tills... 8 hours a day constantly moving and lifting. My wrists are now doing the same thing, and fingers too.

Could simply be RSI (Repetive Strain Injury) and this fades over time, if things are adjusted. It isn't permanent.

If things get worse though, it could become Carpel Tunnel, and this is when things get serious as you need an operation to really sort this.

Its going to be RSI at this point though, so don't stress too much. See a doctor if it keeps happening, but certainly reposition how you sit on the computer chair/use the mouse/keyboard.
I'm stuck haha, and keep getting told to stop over thinking things when their are much older people on tills than me...
