I have chosen maths, physics, economics and geography. Should I change economics for chemistry, or is economics a good subject to take?
chemistry is REALLY hard!!!! -
Re: A-Levels for geography degree at Oxbridge?I did precisely the same combination as you, plus Further Maths, and was lucky enough to get an offer from Oxford for Geography for 2012 entry(Original post by Wraysford)

They're all great subjects and I would thoroughly recommend all of them if you want to study Geography in the future.
Be prepared to do some serious work for your AS though. That subject combination is relatively hard, and to be in with a realistic chance of an offer, you need to be getting at least three A grades at AS, preferably four. (I dropped the AS which I did the worst in, which happened to be Economics. I loved macro but sucked at micro and luckily scavenged an A in the AS out of thin air
)
As to whether or not you should do chemistry or economics, it's up to you. If you prefer physical geography, i.e. rivers, glaciers, ecosystems, etc, I would say choose chemistry. However, if you prefer human geography (population, development, conflict etc) choose Economics. Maybe you could do 5 AS's and drop one of them after the AS, or in the first few weeks if you're not sure? Just a suggestion though.
Good luck!
Anyone else?
