Mental health nursing students. Placement help
    Hi,

Just wondering what the variety of placements were for mental health nursing students. I am interested in working with children, so I am considering changing to children's nursing before my course starts. However, if I can work with children whilst on mental health placements I will stick to mental health nursing.

    Thank you

I must add that I eventually would like to work in the field of eating disorders, any advice on which branch of nursing would be best?

I would contact your local unit and enquire whether they employ mh or child as it totally depends on the area.

You do get camhs placements but they are few and far between so you might only get one in your whole training, would be able to work with adults and elderly as well?
