Re: gym or swimming ??
The gym is great as an additional form of exercise, however swimming is a much more effective workout. The gym will offer you the opportunity to target key areas (e.g your back) to strengthen them. Yet the gym is no substitute for a real form of physical activity, swimming being one of the best for a total body workout. Therefore I would suggest swimming over the gym, but combine them and your onto a winner. Swimming for hour and a half should do it (it hurts like hell afterwards tho).
