From what I've seen on the website, we should hear about it between July and August.

    Not long now =D

I applied for accommodation as soon as I got the pack which was early May I think and also may be due to the fact that I firmed late because they had problems with the system (if you ask me, thats just a poor excuse to make my life harder).

Is this going to be the official 2012 accommodation thread for hall confirmations?

Gosh that was long ago.. erm.. I must have firmed it around febuary/march time because I got the application pack in early april. I sent off the application pack around the 11th or 13th of April No problem!

Thanks! Don't worry about it, I'm sure you'll get good halls. James Watson, Margaret Rule and Trafalgar are apparently the best ones, considering you applied early enough I reckon you'd get one of those. I heard they send them off in batches, so I got the first batch, the next batch is next week and so forth. It says on the form that I have to confirm my room with £200 by 23rd July, so you'll get it before then I suppose. Good luck!

I applied early June, as I got a place through Extra. Not looking good for me if you applied in April

I received one of the first batch of accommodation packs and applied the same day. I have seen people receiving their confirmations on here, still haven't got mine through. Fingers crossed tomorrow.

I emailed them as I still hadn't received my confirmation. I was successful but they said the following:

Those that have received theirs already are generally those that:
    - had specific requests such as single sex / quiet areas
    - are allocated to smaller halls.

Really? I don't think I chose any of those as priorities. I wouldn't worry about it you'll get it soon

Is there an upfront fee you need to pay like £200 for the first term?

If so what is the deadline for the fee to be paid?
