    Music department
I am an international students who are going to do music next year. Durham has given my a conditional offer.

Since I have never been to the university and know not much about the music department, can anyone tell me something about the music department? How are music students' life and the study atmosphere in Durham?

They only have around 6 contact hours a week so how you manage your time is up to you, and they seem to have a lot of free time! The study atmosphere is good, if you want to study, you can, if you don't want to study a lot, you don't have to, there are plenty of both kinds of people, and there are loads of music societies in Durham which you can join too, what instruments do you play?
