This petition...

For too long the poor have had to live through extreme poverty as they have been unable to paint their houses. I suggest that Dulux be nationalised in order to prevent their hardships. The rich will sneer at this idea of course whilst living in their paint filled mansions, swimming in their pools of magnolia. It is time the people stood up and said NO to this madness and nationalised Dulux, providing free paint for all citizens.

Sounds like a great idea. Instead of buying paint for £10.99 a tin; we'll be able to buy it for £4.78 per tin, but billed to the taxpayer for £26. And the people making, selling and distributing the paint will all get public sector pensions and be on strike every time you want to paint your house.

An Excellent idea. Then in 5/10 years down the line we can privatise it and flog the shares off to the public for 1/10 of their market price, thus giving this generation the same opportunity to loot the state as our parents had.
