How much emphasis do Royal Holloway place on GCSEs?
I'm thinking at the moment about applying to Royal Holloway, possibly for politics and international relations for 2013 entry. The problem is with my GCSEs as I got AABBBBBCCCCCC, 2 of the Bs are some Btec thing as well. But if I got good AS results and applied would my GCSEs prevent me from getting an offer?

No, my sister applied with similar GCSE grades to those and with similar AS grades and she was accepted. (She applied for German & Music.)

As long as you meet the minimum requirements, those GCSEs will be absolutely fine.

None at all, they don't even care about your A-Levels either, I mean, they're ridiculously flexible

I think the only reason any uni cares about GCSE results is to make sure you can actually read/write/count to 10
