    It is very well cut. You could make it less formal with a cravat or silk handkerchief.

    It will look fine, provided you combine it appropriately. Its not a summer coat to start with, and probably would look a bit silly with scruffy jeans/carrot chinos etc. But with smart dark jeans/cords/chinos it would look good.
