Forest Court to University
Dear All,
I have been offered a room in Forest Court for being a postgraduate student.
I would like to ask about the best way of transportation between the hall and university.
I have looked for a city bus map, but I couldn't find anything useful, besides that, the distance is around 2km (according to Google earth, correct me if I'm wrong) which won't be really nice to be crossed walking under heavy rain or cold weather.
Thanks! -
Re: Forest Court to University
There are no buses directly between Forest Court and the uni. Your best bet would be to either cycle, or if you're based on the engineering side of campus walk up to Loughborough College (about 5-10mins up Epinal Way and get the bus from there. Alternatively you can walk into town (about 5mins walk in the wrong direction) and get the campus bus from there.

Re: Forest Court to University
It'll be the Sprint bus service you want http://www.kinchbus.co.uk/timetables/sprint.aspx , Loughborough isn't a city which may be why you couldn't find it. Assuming a normal walking pace it would take you about 10 mins to walk to the Students Union, 15 mins to West Park where there's several department buildings and an extra 10 mins to East Park where Engineering and Science schools / departments are located. The Sprint bus has lots of stops around campus and last term it was free of charge across campus (and maybe to the college) as a trial, they haven't said yet whether or not it'll continue being free next year.

Re: Forest Court to UniversityIt's not a City, it's a town. Forest court is on Forest road which is a 10/15 minute walk to the University main gates. I lived near that side of town in my 2nd year and cycling/walking was't a problem (although I was disheartened at times of rain.
To get the Kinchbus you'd have to walk to the college stop.
I love this free service idea in between the Uni, makes the walk to Pilk less daunting
