    Italian or Spanish
Iv'e been planning to make this summer a productive one and one way is by learning a new language however im not sure whether to learn Italian or Spanish...

I know Spanish is spoken in many parts of the world so it would be very useful to learn...

But it would be cool to say that you can speak Italian and iv'e heard it goes down well with the ladies.

So which should i learn via Rosetta Stone?

Personally I would go with Spanish. As you say it's a very widely spoken language (third after English and Mandarin Chinese). So it'll help you out in most Latin American countries as well as Spain. I did A Level Spanish having learnt it from scratch for about seven years and have found it a fantastic thing to have. Perhaps you could learn Italian after Spanish. In Italy they generally understand you even if you speak Spanish due to the similarity of the languages - I've tried it several times and it worked.
