    Assuming your GCSE's are good this type of degree will get you into the Big 4.

    Any degree from anywhere will get you into the big 4 provided you meet their competency requirements, despite what scaremongering pilfers might think.

    Specific degrees aren't important as what you, as a person, bring to the company. Degree matters more in, say, actuarial work or high level forensic accounting, but far less so with audit and tax or whatever. As long as you can do GCSE maths I'm sure that's more than enough... perhaps A level maths, but not much I'd imagine.

    employers in the financial sector such as hsbc or standard chartered

    Depends what and where at HSBC, SC I have no idea, I don't think their grad intake is that large in this country.
