Unlikely to get halls at KCL...
I have been told I probably won't get halls if I go to KCL in September - any suggestions of a good alternative? Are private halls any good?

    Any help would be lovely!

    Hi Abbey,

I just saw your advert on Student room. There are actually two double rooms available for rent at the moment with my sister (23) and myself (26) in Bexley, 45 minutes from Central London by train. The nearest train station would be Albany Park (8 minute walk) with trains running frequently to London Bridge (for KCL). It is a newly refurbished house with TV, internet and bills included. There is a shared living room, kitchen and garden.

I thought I would message you as I know how stressful finding accommodation as a student can be, having been through this process myself a few years ago!

Please email me if you need a room on gems_2011@hotmail.co.uk. I can email you photos and answer any questions you have.

Thanks so much for the offer but I actually live about the same time away (further away but with a fast train) and was hoping to get somewhere a bit closer to the Waterloo area. Thank you anyway

    Hi ihra24,

My names Frankie I work for UNITE, a student accommodation provider.

I'm here to give help and advice to TSR users with accommodation through UNITE whilst they are at University.

I noticed your post and thought a response might be helpful as we have several properties in London, are you going to be based at the Waterloo campus of KCL?
If you have an idea of what type of room (ensuite, studio etc.) you would want and an idea of your budget I can send you some more info.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi Abbey12,

It might be useful to have a look at the Student Housing tab; it contains lots of information about university halls and privately managed accommodation as well as private housing that might help you in your search.

    Best of luck

You can always send me a message on here if you need any help.
