    Processor help.
    Hello helpful people!!

I am looking to buy a new laptop and I have decided that the Lenovo thinkpad edge E530 is for me.

I am looking at the upgrades on the Lenovo website and didn't realise you could change so much before you purchase it. I was wondering what difference upgrading the processor from an Intel Pentium B970 to an Intel Core i3-2350N would make.

What real world difference would it make (in layman's terms) and would it be worth the £40?

    Cheers!

    Most definitely, for £40 it's a no brainer [=

But what does a processor actually do? (Sorry for being such a monumental fool )

I mean I don't know how upgrading it would actually change the computer.

EDIT: sorry its fine; I found a good answer on the interweb. Thanks for your help

i3 is definitely a good move, better performance and better power consumption.
