Applying for Accomodation
Before i start, sorry if this is in the wrong section.
My question is about the stages of applying for accommodation. Kingston university is my firm choice and I've applied via their application site and recently received an email saying no allocation will be made until your status goes from 'conditional' to 'unconditional', how do i go about getting this done?.. if i can that is.
The reason why i want to know is because some people have already been allocated rooms and i am now wondering whether i'll miss out on getting a room whilst the people with the conditional status receive them, any help or information on the matter would be appreciated. -
Re: Applying for AccomodationYou will become unconditional once you've met the conditions of your offer - so if you're waiting for A level results, it will be after then. You probably won't need to do anything - the Admissions department will usually pass the information to the accommodation department - but do check that (it should say in the email you've received whether you need to do anything or not)(Original post by Kingo)

So they will only be allocating people who already have unconditional offers at the moment - maybe those who took a gap year or were taking different sorts of exams where the results have come through already.
As to whether you'll miss out on getting a room - it depends on their policy. If they guarantee accommodation to everyone, then no, you won't miss out. And even if they don't, remember that most people will be in the same position as you and won't become unconditional until after A level results day (especially this year when there are so few gap year students compared to previous years). so you have as much chance as all the other A level students.
