Fascinating subject to read about though - especially the history of the band Mayhem - the suicide of frontman Dead (and a photograph of his corpse becoming an album cover) and the lead guitarist Euronymous' murder at the hands of another black metal musician, Varg Vikernes. MOJO did a great article about it fairly recently. You couldn't pay me to listen to any of their output, though. -

The picture of Tadnees on their metal-archives.com page has been stolen from a German band called Morke.
So... Yeah. Suspicious.

Re: Black Metal Bands to Turn on Islam.Good, it's happened to every other religion. Christianity & Islam both deserve it. They've both killed the most people, that didn't believe what they believed. Religion was forced down their throats, it should be satirized. You believe in a God, then good for you, you don't need Religion to believe in a higher power. You need you & whatever you believe in.

Islam has the advantage of being a fairly new import into western culture compared to Christianity. The leap from the belief in one religion to the belief in another religion - especially in the case of someone who used to be a Christian and is now a Muslim - is like the leap from being a supporter of Liverpool football team to a supporter of the Everton team. The adjustement to a foreign or 'new' religion is less complicated and more transitional if there are common traits between them both.(Original post by xXxiKillxXx)
