Does this look like a good mobile phone or could I get cheaper?
my old mobile phone broke. i created a thread about it http://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/show....php?t=2051200 no one has given me a solution to fix it so i think i should simply buy a new one.
this is the phone i am looking to buy:
http://www.virginmobile.com/vm/viewP...ductId=9792548
i am looking for a phone with 1.3 megapixel camera or better. other than that i dont care much about other features, as long as i can text, call and it doesnt break easily.
is this a good mobile phone bearing in mind what i am after? could i get a cheaper phone with my requirements? -

Re: Does this look like a good mobile phone or could I get cheaper?
It does seem to be the cheapest phone there is on offer, especially as you don't seem too fussed about the features. One of my mates used to have this phone before she got a Blackberry and it didn't break, was also easy to use.
I'm sure you could get a much cheaper phone, but I doubt it'd have a camera

Re: Does this look like a good mobile phone or could I get cheaper?
If you're looking for a cheapo basic phone that'll do what you need it to: make calls and occasionally text, I would thoroughly recommend buying up a second hand Sony Ericsson K800i. Those things are literally dirt cheap since everyone's rushed out to buy iPhones and despite the fact that camera's usually have at least 5-8 Megapixels on them, the K800i literally had the best snapper on a phone that I've ever had, including my Samsung Galaxy SII.

Re: Does this look like a good mobile phone or could I get cheaper? You can use Click and Collect its free, they will deliver to your local store. Select in delivery "collect in store" and yes your old sim will work no problems.(Original post by Movember)

Re: Does this look like a good mobile phone or could I get cheaper?I had a K800i for over 3 years, before finally getting a proper smartphone, but I definitely remember the camera being awesome and using it all the time to take photos out and about instead of having to remember bringing my old canon Powershot. The battery life was also pretty good, as long as you didn't use the data connection too much.(Original post by jumpingjesusholycow)

Re: Does this look like a good mobile phone or could I get cheaper?Trudat. It had a genuine proper flash, as opposed to a bright LED that shines out the back of a smartphone for 4 seconds. How exactly mobilephone photography has regressed I have no idea. Whilst shutter lag being gone and a nice high megapixel count is always good, the k800i was just a great phone for taking pictures on a night out without having to bring a compact camera.(Original post by firegalley246)
