    Creative Writing
General question for the general people. A degree in Creative Writing, does it show a creative mind and people worth investing in or simply doss nothing to them?

    Re: Creative Writing
I'll be studying Creative Writing at Sheffield Hallam this September so I hope it says 'people worth investing in'. Actually I hope it says 'this person is frigging ****hot and should be taken incredibly seriously' but I'll settle for just improving my abilities and stuff.

Where are you going to be studying?

    Re: Creative Writing
I asked my Head of English how employers view Creative Writing degrees (I was going to switch from the joint honours course to the single) and he said that employers are more educated on the benefits of this degree and the skills you acquire through it. Although I love it, I think English and Creative Writing looks better, but I would dearly love to do CW as a single honours to focus upon what I ultimately love.

Sorry, in short, I don't think it's going to show you in a bad light. Just highlight the English side of it, the skills you acquire, what you've learned, your versatility and your strong writing skills when it comes to selling yourself!

What sort of job would you like to go into after university?
