Intermediate 2 Maths in 6 weeks
    Hi there

I am wanting to know that if it is possible to learn the whole int 2 maths course in 6 weeks.

to those studying int 2 maths of having studied it, what do you make of it in terms of difficulty

i am in 6th year maths is not my strongest points currently have a 4 in it at standard grade and for that reason want a higher qualification in it in order to increase chances for university, but due to timetable was not able to take it so have decicided to self-teach it.

so please some feedback on how you find it in terms of difficulty and wheather it is possible to finish it in 6 weeks

Yes, in principle. If it's not your forte, and it's over summer, you would need some serious motivation to do so, though. Do you have that?

Did you drop Maths in S5? If you did then this will make it much harder to pick up again. I'd say if you had 9 until 4 teaching with a teacher for 6 weeks then definitely. However, you had a 4 at standard grade so it will be tough, though I'm sure you'll get at least a C

Also, general and credit (or int2) standard grade work is like chalk and cheese. They're so different in difficulty and in content. Remember you need to pass all NABs otherwise you will receive a No Award. Your school will need to arrange a time for you to sit them.

I am in the same position kind of, I want to take take Higher Maths despite only getting an A for the Intermediate 1 prelim. So I was also hoping to learn the Int 2 cource over the summer so if anyone could tell me what textbooks/workbooks they use in class or whatever so I could work through it that would be a start

We used Maths In Action at the time. Don't think you'll find any problems in your situation.
