    How do I do this cubic equation?
    I worked out the answer in my head, but I need to know how to do it properly with a method; can anyone help?

    x^3-x=0

    x^3-x=0

    take out common factor of x: x(x^2-1)=0

    therefore x=0 and x^2-1=0

    rearrange: x^2=1
    square root: x=squareroot1
    =1,-1
