My reasons for studying maths at uni
Hi everyone, I am currently writing my personal statement for a maths degree at university.

Maths is definitely the subject I want to study, because of all the subjects I have ever done at school it is the one I love the most - I still get great satisfaction from completing challenging questions or learning a new technique, and I am enjoying the extra-curricular maths reading I am doing.

However, I don't have anything extremely profound or clever to say about my motivation for studying maths - I can only say it is something I really enjoy. Could I get some ideas or inspiration?

    Thanks!

perhaps you should consider something like engineering, where you will enjoy the same satisfaction but with more practical application

if you don't have anything to say in your personal statement, then surely it's a sign!

... From the guy who created the "Maths is all memory" thread - don't pay attention to this OP.
