brunel help 2012
Hi guys!
wondered if anyone could help me
I have brunel as FIRM (BBB) and middlesex as insurance (300 points) for studying psychology.
I only and only want to go brunel, and feel that i may get BBC (english literature is a drag) - revising a lot so hopefully BBB but if i get BBC what are the chances of them accepting me?
should i ring middlesex now or wait until clearing for me to be "released" (i also have re so the points would allow me to go middx- dont want to!)
and then apply to brunel again through clearing in hoping they accept my lower gradee.
or shall i wait until results to ring middx to be released? however i know it can take up to 2 weeks! and want that brunel offer not to go to someone else?
I only really want to go brunel, any advice? -
Hey sorry if I'm scraping but brunel seems really lenient! They were so nice to you lol, do you think it will be different this year? Also would you know whether biomedical sciences is a popular course at brunel? If it isnt then maybe they are more likely to accept me with one lower grade lol :/ thanks(Original post by osbian)
You have a reasonable chance. I got accepted last year for psychology with BBC and was fine. Brunel even let me change my course to English (BBB).
Wait and see what happens.

Re: brunel help 2012
I got offered BCC and got BCD and they let me in. That was for engineering. In my experience they do tend to let people in on one grade lower. Definitely wait until after results before talking to your second choice. Some unis do take weeks to decide whether to accept people on lower offers or not but i got a text from Brunel accepting me about an hour before my results went online.

Re: brunel help 2012
Also I should point out if Middlesex is your insurance you don't need to contact them. Irrelevant of your grades if Brunel accept you then you are automatically in. If they reject you but Middlesex accept you then you automatically get put in to go to Middlesex. You don't need to contact them and you can't reject that offer and go into clearing.

Re: brunel help 2012They'd most likely still accept you with BBC. I have friends who got a grade or two lower and were still let in.(Original post by LondonLT)

Last year Psychology was in clearing so it'll probably have spaces and be lenient again this year.
As said above do not cancel your place they will consider if they want to let you in first with the lower grades and then if they reject you you'll get in to Middlesex.
I'm going into my third year of Psychology so if you have any questions feel free to send me a PM
