    Lads holiday 2013.
basically, 10 guys are going on holiday next year, we're thinking napa? (or kos or malia?) but none of us have been away before so need some advice! whilst it will be over a year away we are THE MOST unorganised people ever. so pre planning is needed

if someone could help me with some questions it'd be awesome.
wheres good? wheres cheap? also does anyone know of any good hotels or which travel agents are the best to use? stuff like that (and anything obvious i've missed)

and last thing! all inclusive/self catering?!?!

if you're going for your first lads holiday you're looking to go for somewhere cheap and a place where you want to enjoy poolife whilst having somewhere to stop at night therefore a self catering hotel as you will want to go out and experience the bars for pre-drinks/pre-drink in your room which will work out cheaper.

look at: tsokkos holiday apartments w/ thomas cook or anthea hotel apartments w/ thomson and book a package holiday, i'm booking it septemberish (just got to wait for tsokkos to release the 2013 prices) with thomas cook and flights + hotel are looking at around £550ish.

best clubs i've heard from my mates who's just been are castle club, club ice & starskys, ranging from house music to dance to garage, funky house and hiphop.

also look to go on the bar crawls, partyhard barcrawl is every tuesday and mayhem every saturday, google them and have a look at videos etc, also look to go on the fantasy boat parties and go to nissi beach/tsokkos during the day.

I too am looking to go on another lads holiday next year too.
I just got back from one, went to Magaluf, was madddd! Best 10 days of my life so far. serioussss. We payed 600 for 10 days all inclusive 4* hotel, but you could get 10 days for half that price self catering, and i would urge you to go self catering because the hotel food was awful and we ended up eating out most nights anyway.

Magaluf was good, with great acts. I saw lethal bizzle, frimpong, donaeo, swedish house mafia etc. Also in my hotel i see chipmunk, tinchy stryder, people from Geordie shore i didn't really know, and Romeo+lisa mafia from so solid crew. Seemed like one of the places to be this year with the caliber of acts.

If im honest though, it was a bit of a cock fest, so if you want girls(i assume you do haha) i'd find out whether malia/zante/ibiza etc is the same. But, if you're a good looking confident lad you'll be fine.

You mentioned that you lot were unorganised.. my mates are the same, one kid had just got to take charge and let everyone else know whats going on. Thats how we did it and it turned out fine!

Think all these places are the same, not long back from Malia and it was definitely the girls who had the choice of the guys.

    Not long back from Zante.
Booked 16 days prior to leaving (just went in to look at rough prices, ended up booking a holiday!) £270 for 2 weeks in Tassia Studios (http://www.tassiastudios.gr/) We honestly didn't think much of the room etc, but the atmosphere was amazing, the food served in the hotel bar was lovely and the service was top notch (seriously, that guy never sleeps!).
Hotel rooms were 2 to a room, but we met groups of 3 who had a 'prison bed' put in which was basically a fold out and some wood with a tiny mattress. I recommend going with an even number.

I have only been here and Tenerife, and although Tenerife has more things to do in the day (I wouldn't recommend Water Village if you've ever been to Siam Park, such a disappointment!) the night life was sooooo much better in Zante. And busier even though we went earlier in the season.

I'm sure whatever you book you'll have fun, just sharing my knowledge on what I know

And I'd say there was DEF more girls in Zante haha.

We went to Magaluf, just 4 of us last August. Magaluf is unreal, honestly!

    My tips would be...

    > Spend an hour or so walking around, so you know your surroundings and don't wake up in a totally different apartment....unintentionally!

    > GO SELF CATERING. DO NOT go all inclusive. Just my personal opinion, but for what it costs I feel all inclusive is a total waste of time and money.

    > Look at sites such as travel republic unless you're going for an actual 18-30's holiday. We got a week for around £250 each. Also, take airports into account, some are a lot more expensive than others.

    > Drink before you go out, as it's expensive when you go out. However you can buy drink in the shop for pennies.

    > Don't touch Rushkinoff, or you'll end up with a cough that's like no other.

    > Look out for deals. There was a wee Irish pub in Maga where you could drink as much as you wanted in 2 hours, for just 12 euros.

    > Watch out for the official clubs as well, as BCM was normally around 30 euros to get in. That includes as much drink as you can handle, before they feed you water, and some top quality acts.

Think that's about it. Honestly though, take the Ruskinoff point seriously.

Watch Sun, Sex and Suspicious Parents. Then you can choose which looks best and run to a travel agency to help you book it :P

I think all these locations are the same, not lengthy returning from Malia and it was definitely the ladies who had the option of the people.

I havnt been to many of those places but went to magaluf this year and loved it!! Its cheap to get there, to stay and to go out. The nightlife is amazing but theres still good stuff to do in the day - beaches, watersports etc. I 'd definately recommend it for a guys/girls holiday I plan to book to go back next year soon

It's cheap to get and stay there, however it's far from cheap when you go out! You could say it's cheap in contrast to Ibiza, but anywhere's cheap in contrast to there. We drank before going out, as despite a lot of the deals they have on, buying drinks as standard is pretty expensive!

I found magaluf really cheap to go out!! Only BCM and the big events are expensive? If you stick on the strip they are practically giving the drink away and if you barter with the reps you can get soo much for only a few euros!! As long as you know where to go its not too expensive, id love to go to ibiza but heard its unbelievabley expensive to get in to clubs and buy drinks?

Really? We spent a fortune going out, and BCM turned out to be the cheap option! All you can drink for £30-40 depending on which act is playing. The only thing cheap was shots, you bought one drink and got like 2/3 free and sometimes a fish bowl. But the actual drinks were costing 6 euro's each! That's how much we were for vodka & coke anyway... I think there was only one drink that was ridiculously cheap, and that was San Miguel. 1 euro a pint, because it's the local drink...

When you look at the cost of drink in shops across there though, clubs are stupidly expensive. Think of how much you can buy a bottle of vodka for? Then think about how much they must make off a single bottle... Especially when using that rotten Rushkinoff.

Edit: Don't let this put you off btw OP, Magaluf was outstanding and I would definitely go back. It's still a cheap holiday, in contrast to the like of Ibiza, it's just a lot cheaper to go before you head out....or you'll end up spending an absolute fortune!

I've done Napa and I'm off to Malia this summer, hoping to do Ibiza when I'm 21, I'd like to do all 'the resorts' by the time I'm 25 !!....however much people slate certain places I'll happily give them all a go once.
