I've read a lot of threads where people are saying they don't want to date someone fresh or someone asian. Fresh meaning guy, south asian, who comes to the Uk to study/stay. Most of it is based on stereotypes that freshies dress in a particular way, have bad attitudes towards women, are conservative and cannot adapt. A lot of people who hold these views havent met open minded "freshies", are stereotyping on bad experience or have strict family so they don't realise asians are way more liberal overseas. Sometimes it seems UK asians are living in the 1960s when asian is becoming quite modern.

Anyway...how many of you would/would not date these guys if they had a good personality, which i know some for sure do, had mutual attraction, and you had long term relationship possibilities.

The Fresh list
obviously i dont agree with the stereotypes and i believe i am an exception. So this was also to give fresh/other asian guys hope that if you have a great personality and look good, that nothing is impossible. And also to show all of you that good looking asian guys don't just exist in the uk or in select places. They are worldwide. and if i am a freshie coming to the Uk i'd like not to be stereotyped because i believe im unique.

feel free to add more fresh and asian guys who are good looking..because i don't think the western media promotes such faces often enough. some of these faces are quite unknown even to asians themselves..so they're not all big flying celebrities.

Not doing this as a lack of self confidence. It's more for the benefit of british asians who think other hot asians from elsewhere don't exist. I was clarifying those ideas.
This isn't abou me..about educating others out there. Like you know not to stereotype.

You can use the cultural differences excuse but the truth is british asians are actually more conservative than asians from overseas.

From these guys in the videos, I think I would only go for John Abraham person. I sometimes watch these Bollywood films and think that they try TOO hard... not only with their acting/ storylines, but also with their bodies. That amount of muscle is just not normal!! And to be honest, it's not attractive either (well, to me it isn't)

Actually, it is not an excuse... it is the truth.
I would most likely not date a fellow British Asian for the same reason.
Although I am a British Asian, I do not speak an Asian language, I do not celebrate the festivals, I am an atheist and I have very little to do with the culture.

From what I have seen, within my own and my friends' extended British Asian families, there is a great deal of bitchiness, gossiping, mind games, back stabbing and judgement constantly being passed on others (especially me for being a "coconut".) Some people are willing to put up with this, I am not.
This is the reason why I would probably not date an Asian, British or otherwise, because I have no interest in marrying into and being absorbed into such an environment.
