Looking for A level Chemistry/Biology Tutor
I need a tutor for Chemistry and Biology too, but Chemistry is my priority at the moment. Does anyone know any (cheap) tutors in London? Or any websites I can go to to find one?

Or maybe someone on TSR who wants to be my e-tutor ? (For free if it's online help)?

    Chemistry specification: OCR B
    Biology specification: Edexcel SNAB

Don't you attend a college or a sixth form?
Your tutor there will no doubt be the best one. They'll happily help you.

If you're studying at home, nvm xD

Hi,I don't know anyone personally but I got a tutor for my GCSE Physics by asking my year head at school and a family friend who's a teacher if they knew anyone who'd be prepared to help me out. I ended up being tutored by a science teacher from one of the local private schools. £10 for just over an hour and got a grade above my predicted.
So before you go hiring someone from a tutoring company etc, ask around a bit. There's bound to be a local teacher up for making a bit of cash on the side. Good luck! :-D

No problem - yh I have a maths tutor from there, though I had to two other people out before I found someone who was good, cos one of the guys was half asleep all the time and did not know how to do simultaneous equations (he was like 80) and the other just didn't know some of the chapters well enough which was also surprising. But the person I got now is really good and is helping a lot!!
My advice is to see how they are and if after 3 lessons it does not seem to be working, try someone else- it may seem harsh but its your money at the end of the day!

I know a cheap tuition centre in London that charges around £10 an hour but you'd have to commute there and you often work in groups of 4/5 with one teacher...but its really good, the teachers are often actual doctors/people with chemistry or biology degrees etc and you can work together with other students on work. However, one thing I will say is that it is not consistent, sometimes you will learn a lot and sometimes you don't learn so much and it might not be as professional as other tuition centres...but thats the same with most things really, plus its CHEAP compared to other tuition. One particular teacher for chemistry is literally AMAZINGGG if you manage to get him to teach you.
If you are interested PM me for deetz.

Please have a look at my new Sciences website at www.alevelsciences.blogspot.com

Although it's not specifically your examboard, it should still be of some help!
