I'm considering career paths with the degree i'm planning on studying (A life science)

I'm planning on doing a Msc, maybe a PhD, but if I wanted to get into the profession, would kind of academic history/grades am I looking at?

You may want to have a read through this thread. http://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/show...222&highlight=

My understanding is that you'd need to do a PhD to be considered for the role but I could be completely wrong. If most people going for the jobs have PhDs then their grades at undergrad/masters are likely to be very good indeed.

You can enter with a BSc but you'd be more considered with a Msc. I really want to take a Msc anyways but I was just wondering what kind of student you need to be to make it in the job. Because I know i'm no Oxbridge student but I'm very hard-working and determined. What I mean is, do you need to be a straight A student to make it as a PA or is experience and such more important?

To become a patent attorney you need a degree in engineering or in a nature science and a patent attorney firm to put you through the law exams.

European Patent Attorney is better than only national attorney is better than agent. PhD in engineering or nature science is very helpful in the job. There are also good ones without but life is easier with.

If you ever need a good one - Kaufmann Dresden Germany, a quirky networker.

Many people with a life science/science degree get into the field though. An engineering degree isn't the only degree you'll need
