Studying AS level Maths outside of school? Thoughts/experiences?
    Hi,
I have just finished my GCSEs and am wanting to go on to study Medicine at university. The AS levels I am definitely starting next year are: Chemistry, Biology, Maths and Spanish. However, I absolutely love Drama and want to take it next year. I can do so (as well as the others listed above) if I study Maths outside of school.
I have all the textbooks for AS level already, and both my dad and brother are around for some support if I don't understand something and my school seem willing for this to happen, if not enthusiastic, and say they'll arrange at least an hour where I can talk to a maths teacher and check on my progress etc, each week.
I was just wondering if anybody has any thoughts or experiences of this. If they've taken AS level maths - Edexcel exam board - and how they thought the course was.
    Thank you x

I took Edexcel maths this year and because one of my two teachers was useless, we pretty much taught ourselves C2 and S1 for the January exams. We had a decent teacher for C1 but it's not that hard!

Examsolutions is the best for learning new concepts and going through exam papers, I've found.

Thanks that's really helpful. Did you personally choose to do S1, or were you not offered D1/M1?x
