A level options
Im struggling to decide on my fourth subject for a level and it is most likely between business studies and german. I have already chosen maths, spanish and music so im wondering whether its a good idea or not to do another language (german) or business as i have liked it in the past. However i have found that uni's don't think very highly of business studies at a level, especially if you're not going to use it in further education, so im not sure whether to do it or not. I also have no idea what i will be doing at uni or as a career. any ideas which subject i should choose between german and business, or even a completely different one.

Re: A level options
If i remember rightly business studies comes under 'limited suitability' ergo its fine as a fourth subject or one of your three A's [if you dont drop one] and wont hold having one 'softer' subject against you. It does depend to a degree on what you want to study though... personally if i were you i'd choose German, which ever way you look at this if you get a good grade on it it'll serve you very well in the future, unis and employers love someone who can speak another language

But take which ever one you think youll do best in and youll enjoy, if you hate German then youll probably not do so well in it as business and it wont help you eitherway but the choice is yours

Re: A level optionsThis may seem obvious, but it depends on how 'good' a student you are. If you're a top A/A* grade student (perhaps with Oxbridge/top 5 aspirations) then Business will most likely hold you back.(Original post by Katherine Smart)

However, to do a language you need to be naturally good at it - see my post from a while back http://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/show...216&highlight=
