    french reading
I'm applying to do French and history and am currently in the process of looking for some books to read however I'm completely unsure about where to begin! What did you read to put on your PS? I've thought about Zola but I'm not sure which books of his. Some as help as to what are classics and understandable would be great

I'd say go for areas you're interested in - don't read something because it'll look good, read it because it tells unis about what your interests are.

    e.g. I'm interested in Socialism/Communism and so I'm having a look at Marx's manifesto.
