Have found a full-time position, what do I do?
Right, up until about a month ago I was hoping to go to the University of Kent to study Computer Science from September 2012 and had completed my student finance application. I have, however, since then began working for an IT company full-time and have decided this is the right move for me. As I am earning reasonably good money, being enrolled in IT certifications and enjoying the job.

I completed my BTEC and have had a letter back saying that my place at university has been confirmed but how do I declare that I will not be taking this place and what is the best way to tell them and not annoy the admissions team?

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

The best way will be to do them the courtesy of ringing up and speaking to them in person in order to inform them and to explain your reasons.

The sooner you do this the better as it will make their job easier. You should also ring up UCAs to check what the correct process for withdrawing is.

Surely it would just be a case of contacting the university and withdrawing your application, perhaps doing it through UCAS, they probably have an FAQ that would help here. Don't worry about annoying the admissions teams, 1: Screw them it's your life and 2: they probably don't care anyway.

    Good luck.
