    Waiting list- Imperial
    Hey,
I have applied to a MSc in reproductive and developmental biology at Imperial. I have offers from other universities but really want to go to Imperial. What are my chances of getting into the MSc at Imperial when i have been put onto their waiting list.
    Thank you

Sorry to hear you've been wait-listed , but I'm afraid unless someone drops out (due to not meeting their condition(s) or for personal or financial reasons) or withdraws and decide to go elsewhere, your chances are slim.

Some of the courses that I've seen in the area of biological/medical sciences at Imperial, are quite in demand and I've heard of people being wait-listed. Imperial has a very good reputation in reproductive and developmental biology & their IRDB, hence the competition for places.

Even if a place or two comes available, it all depends how competitive your application is compared to others who may also be wait-listed. You can wait and see if it opens up, but that all depends on the other offers you have and whether you need to confirm or pay any deposits, etc. Can you wait for Imperial or not?

I hope it all works out for...you never know.

You can still change your mind after you've confirmed your offers. You can always say you can't do it for financial reasons/ tell them something came up.

As for Imperial, I'm not sure. You could always defer your application of you wanna go to Imperial that badly and they don't offer you a place this year.

Definitely an option if they allow it

Thank you for replying and for the good advice. I agree, if I don't receive a place this year I will persuade them to give me an offer for the next.

That's better, don't become too disheartened, things always happen for a reason. I'm sure in the end everything will work out for you.
