Temporary job..HELP!

Temporary job..HELP!I've been looking for a summer job since about March/April, before I broke up for uni and I've been unsuccessful up till now. I've done it all, applied through sites like reed, applied on store websites and handed out CV's. The only jobs that I've got interviews for were McDonald's, which I turned down because it was pretty far, and didn't pay much and a job at the Olympics which I turned down because it would take me at least 2 hours travel every day.
Has anyone got any sites that have temporary/one-off jobs which are pretty much guaranteed? Also I'm only home for another 2 months before I go off to uni which I guess if pretty off putting for employers...help?
