Re: Post your homepageLink?(Original post by Potally_Tissed)
My homepage is Google. Doesn't seem a massive amount of point posting a screenshot of it.
oj
don't you get tired of typing the same website day in day out? (*makes massive assumption you are like me*

Nah, Google is on the home button and anything else I use regularly is on my bookmarks bar. When I open a new tab it's got whatever eight sites Chrome says I use the most but I don't use it as it's not faster/easier. -

I just have bbc news. Sorry, you'll have to google it yourselves to see it...
see?
why not set it as your homepage?(Original post by Ruin.)
I have the Speed Dial extension shortcuts added on to Chrome.
I rarely click on them though. Its just there for show.
It saves so much time for me

Is there anyway to make it pop up at start-up? In my case, instead of google...
You see post #1 that image is what shows as soon as I launch chrome
1. Open Google Chrome
2. Go to Tools > Options
In the "home page" section select an option that allows you to "use tab page to start chrome" and it should load speed dial tab page when loading chrome you don't need to do next bit unless it DOESN'T work.
3. In the "Home page" section select "Open this page" and enter this text: chrome://newtab/
Check "Show home button on the toolbar" for easier access to homepage.
4. Click "Close"... Now Try to go to homepage... Speed Dial is your new homepage

Re: Post your homepage(Original post by hassi94)
Probably because I and almost everyone I know just have google as their homepage
I have no problem typing in the websites I use most - it tends to take me about 10 seconds to open the 4-5 tabs I need because I'm so used to typing the websites.
10 seconds to open 4 - 5 tabs
average person spends 3 hours a day on internet
around 60 seconds wasted a day opening tabs
60 seconds times 340 = 340 minutes wasted a year

Once I've opened them they're usually open for the whole time I'm on, and if it's a weekend I put my PC to sleep if I'm planning on coming back to it and hey presto - the tabs are still there
And I'm sure we could make this scary-looking statistic about tonnes of things - but it doesn't bother me. The days are pretty long and so are the years - we're gonna have to waste time!
