Import VAT?
Has anyone ever purchased anything online from the USA that was valued over the VAT threshold? I am looking to buy a basketball jersey that costs £52.69 and have tried to look online to see how much the tax will be but I can't work it out. I don't want to buy it and end up having to pay loads for it when it gets to the UK.
Has anyone ever had an order of similar value shipped from the US? How much did it end up costing? -
Re: Import VAT?Probably 20% VAT plus the £8(?) Parcelforce handling fee. So £71.23, plus whatever you've paid for P&P.(Original post by Hot Sauce)

Re: Import VAT?
Mate it's hit and miss sometimes you get hit by custom sometimes you wont i rarely been hit by custom for clothes if they mark as gift it will help. I had a ps3 go though custom and it cleared with no charge. But if they do use parcelforce it 50/50 but if they use normal airmail delivered by royalmail here it wont get hit by custom i have never had an custom charges from royalmail
