    personal statement HELP!
I'd be chuffed if you could help me out a little.
So, the 2 main courses i'm applying for are neuroscience and medical genetics. But, I am confused on how to write my personal statement. I can't really think of any common themes. I've got biology....how about research?
Also, can I write about things such as school trips where we did practicals like gel electrophoresis? or.... but that's not really linked to neuroscience....waaagh

Yes you can write about school trips but bear in mind that you don't have a lot of words so you have to be really choosy and just sell yourself. I had to edit mine and get rid of so much that was just unnecessary which can be annoying :/ good luck

Have you considered emailing the relevant universities and asking if they will accept a substitute personal statement? That way you could have one for medical genetics and one for neuroscience.

The other way to write a PS for more than one course is to simply split the course-related part into 2: Write 1250 characters on medical genetics and 1250 on neuroscience. They are both essentially biology-related and so you can definitely weave them together somewhat.

    Hey

I applied for criminology and law but only wrote about criminology ...and right now I will be studying criminology and psychology instead so a personal statement doesn't set everything in stone. You can change later x
