Postgraduate study at Aberystwyth
Hi guys,
I've been looking through the Aber threads trying to find out people's postgraduate experiences at Aber but it's a little thin on the ground for anything other than Undergrad stuff and a lot of the posts are quite old-. I was wondering if a current postgrad or any postgraduate alumni could give me an overview of their time at Aber as a postrgraduate, especially anyone who's done a geography masters or PhD.
So anything about accomodation (what it's really like for postgrads), postgrad social life and also anything bad about the town or university in general?
Thanks
N.B. I visited about 4 years ago as a prospective undergrad and I assume some things may have changed, so any additional pros and cons to Aber as it is in 2012 would be nice to know

@DJDaveArnold
Firstly, thank you for your questions.
Aberystwyth University has certainly changed a great deal in the past few years and we have some exciting new developments happening for postgraduate students that you may be interested in.
We have built Rosser G which is accommodation on campus for Postgraduate students - this link will take you to YouTube to view it if you like (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pA2gR...ature=youtu.be)
We have also been voted in the top 5 for our Graduate School by the international igraduate survey. We are currently investing in the development of a new Graduate School centre with the long term hopes to convert the original University (the Old College) into a Postgraduate Centre. This hasn't yet been confirmed though.
I am very happy to put you in contact with some current postgraduate students at Aberystwyth. Here are a few options for you that you may like to look at in the mean time:
