Essentials needed for someone learning to drive?
I'm asking on behalf of my boyfriend- it's his birthday coming up soon and he's looking to learn to drive after booking his first lesson this weekend!
He's a lot older than the average learner at 29, but after working and living in the city for 10 years he's found a job that on public transport is a 1.5hr commute each way- dream job that it is, it'll only be a 45min drive if by car!
So, he's looking to drive- and I want to buy him a few things for his birthday to get him started.
Idea's of what to get that can help him along?! I've heard of driving simulation pc games, theory test pc stuff?! -
Re: Essentials needed for someone learning to drive?Unrelated gift bought- lego star wars xwing...he's 29...(Original post by alexmagpie)
There's not very much to be honest - you could get him a theory test CD-ROM, copy of the highway code and some L Plates, along with an unrelated gift.

You need to buy him:
1. A great deal of patience. (not sure where to get this)
2. Theory test CD.(http://www.amazon.co.uk/The-Official...ref=pd_sim_b_1
3. L/R plates. Wait, they don't have R plates in England... Just L Plates.
