    Physiotherapy
Does anyone know roughly how many people apply for physiotherapy at university compared with the amount of sucessful applicants? Also, what is the average GCSE/A Level grades needed to get in a physio course.

To do a physiotherapy course you need either a b in pe or a b in biology at a level standard if you check the course out on your choosen university's website it should give you all of their course specific requirements including ucas points etc hope this helps

I'm not sure about needing a B in PE - some I think specify just Biology as the essential one. As for competition, it is fierce. From personal/anecdotal experience around 40-70 places and 6-800 applicants. Don't let it put you off though, it's about the quality of your PS and interview performance.

The offer than most decent unis give is AAB/ABB. Biology is a required subject, but can sometimes be replaces with PE. Normally, unis ask for a B in biology. I went to an open day yesterday for physio and the people said there are 37 spaces and there are 25-30 applicants per space! So it's pretty competitive. In the uni yesterday (southampton), they said although there are 37 places, 5 are for part time students, 16 are for pre-grad students coming in and the other 16 are for both UK and EU students combined. Pretty competetive eh?!
