Should I do GCSEs or O levels?
Hi, I'm a 15 year old living in London, England. I will start studying for my qualifications this September, but unsure of which to opt. I was thinking about sitting GCSE for the examination boards, or O levels for Cambridge International Examinations.
I am aware that O levels are sat by International students, but is it worth sitting O levels? I know that certain UK schools also take IGCSE, which is aimed for International students/schools, I think.
I would like to complete the O level qualifications for CIE, because I heard the news that GCSEs will be scrapped, and O levels will be reintroduced.
So...should I study for O levels or GCSEs? Will UK Universities see it as unacceptable if I complete O-levels, because I am a British citizen, not an International one.
    Thanks

No one will see any of them as unacceptable

However ... your school usually makes these decisions

No, I and my parents make the decisions.
I do not go to school anymore, I will be home-schooled as a private/external candidate.
Would you recommend me to do O levels by Cambridge? Do you think there are any UK schools or students doing O levels?
    Thanks

Well I'm going to to start my gcses in september, and my school is doing gcses, I know you're homeschooled but I just wanted to say that majority of the schools in UK are doing gcses in this final year of gcses, before o levels come onto the scene for the first time in the school year 2013-2014. so you doing GCSEs will not hinder you because we are all doing gcses at the same time, so we're all in the same situation. I think it may be better in your case though, if you do igcses or cie because they have less of those controlled assessments and coursework, which you may find hard to complete given your circumstances.
