It should be fine, once you start getting confident, you start relaxing and start driving like it's a normal thing for you, everything you do slowly becomes more natural, that's how I felt, though when I do make a silly mistake, I lose my confidence and start making mistakes again

I was the same... Passed first time with 3 minors. No biggie.

I feel fairly confident after only 5 lessons.

My driving instructor thought it was ok for me to go on an A-road on my 3rd lesson.

I think I passed after around 16 lessons, and at least the last 4 of those were purely revision type things (and I wasn't particularly atypical), so I wouldn't say feeling confident after 9 is a problem.

I was doing great on my first two lessons and was doing great on the road, until my third lesson today where I made the car hop like a bunny so many time, but my instructor said it didn't matter at all and not get disheartened AT ALL, EVER. Making mistakes are the way forward when you learn why you made them and what you can do to not make them again.
