    The skating society
Been looking around on TSR and couldn't find anything for us skaters, whether it be roller skating/blading, ice skating, skateboarding or whatever else.

So yh, say what you do? What kind of of equipment you have and share any stories Hope this gets some relevant response haha

Edit: And I recently got back into roller blading after years

Don't know much about skating, as such, but I'm very green and pro-bicycle. So yeah, skateboarders have my support :awesome:

skateboards are rarely used as a means of transportation, encouraging more people to start skateboarding will hardly make a difference to our environment

I'm using the nice weather and turning my commute into a bike & skate. Going down well. Enjoying being the one guy everyone looks at when it's sunny and thinks "hmm, that's a bit weird...".

I skate my longboard all over the shop.

Once exams are done, it's going to be me, my railcard, my ipod and my longboard. I plan to go all over the country and just skate **** up.

I started skateboarding about a month ago when my bike crapped out, actually really enjoyed it. I use a skateboard that is about 7 years old and I really should've tightened the trucks by now. Considered getting a penny board or something but I have other stuff to buy right now. Hopefully pick something up for Uni at the latest though.

Any had any experience with penny boards/vinyl cruisers/globe bantam's? These are the main 3 I ran into. Also open to longboards which but the small cruisers are nice and portable, so we'll see.

    Hey guys,

I started inline skating this week mainly for fitness and erm... I'm not doing well.

I go to the car park near me at about 7am when it's empty to practice but I keep flucking falling and I could really do with a helping hand. None of my friends are interested in skating so it's just me, my K2s and online tips at the moment. Would it be considered bold or inconvenient to ask the guys at my local skatepark to help me? :s

    Many thanks ^^

Where abouts do you live, Miss OCD? I can then recommend your nearest qualified inline skating instructor. If you're in the East Midlands, it would be me. See my sig (two posts up).
