Whenever I play video games, I get bored 5 minutes later.
It's been about two years since I've sold my PS2 and I don't feel like playing any games.
Even when I go around a friend's house, they always asks me if I wanna play but I'd get bored 5 minutes later. Watching people play is worse though

I just don't see the point of it

Is anybody like me or am I just an old fashioned man ?

I have an xbox, i used to love playing... Now i hardly go on it its boring and i dont care what people say, imo u can b to old to play videogames

I enjoy PC gaming and do it a fair bit, but I tend to get bored after an hour of play. Not everyone enjoys it, if you don't then don't do it... same as any other activity

As for the point of it, it's entertainment like TV, Music etc. Perhaps not for you, but for a lot of other people. I guess it's also an escape into a different world at times, and a chance to be competitive.

Edit: I do actually think console gaming is pretty damn boring though. It's frustratingly slow to react...

Yep, never used to happen to me but I just seem to be able to take no interest in the game itself anymore.
Even playing FIFA with mates becomes incredibly dull after a couple of minutes.

I took up reading instead ha, and I enjoy it

I recon its because new games suck! Yeh they have cool graphics but gameplay sucks compare gta san andreas to gta 4... SA has waaaay more content and the story is more complexed and interesting.

I get that too! There are a few games i enjoy playing [Fable/Skyrim/Pikmin/Zelda] and they're the only ones i really have any interest in.. But i still can't handle playing for longer than half hour/ an hour at most.

I especially hate playing video games when i have company, I value conversation and communication far too much to want to play video games instead. Or as you said, watching them play, i almost get angry watching people play games haha. So boring.

Yup. I have to change my sims family every 2 hours because I always end up getting bored of them.

Once I could lose myself in a game world, sheer excitement.

Now it's old hat. It happens to a lot of people tbh, though you probably still have games you like playing.

I barely buy any new games though because chances are I'll find it boring.

I can't be bothered with hard games, if I can't get pass a certain level then i'll never play that game again. Its all shooters and action nowadays which don't appeal.

Sad as it sounds the last game I completed was a pokemon game - pokemon black.

Must admit that whilst I was a gaming fanatic a few years ago, the interest is tapering off now. I must be growing up at the ripe old age of 22 D:

I do like a good gaming session every now and then (esp with Max Payne 3!!) but I prefer to occupy my time with other interests now.

It depends on my mood and what games come out tbh. If I haven't had a new game in a long time and there isn't one that appeals to me I wont play games for months at a time, however if there is a game I can play all day for months, most recent game is skyrim I have put so many hours into that game played none stop (except for when I had to go college). But Pokemon games never get boring I buy all of the games for each generation:
One for keeping my kick ass of a first team on
One for starting over again
and the third one for slight different experience.

I have roughly played each of the 5 generations 10 times each ... and the 3rd generation I have played more than 20 times

each game is a different experience ... I recommend you get the games if your bored of games You may think they're childish but they're not there are tactics to the game and some trainer can be quite difficult at times ... (Whitney in Goldenrod City ) the full story last about 24 hours on average for a first go for me but I can take that down to about 13-15 hours after a few plays.
