Re: Unpopular Sport Opinions
I tend to cause controversy amongst my fellow United fans when I state my view that IMO the best Premiership side of all time was Arsenal of 2002 and 2004.
They usually lose their rags ranting that Arsenal never won the Champions League so how can they be compared with United of 1999 and 2008.
But its just an opinion, IMO the Arsenal of 2002 or 2004 would have edged it ahead of both of those United sides, and Chelsea or Man City at their best as well.
However I don't think that amongst the wider football public this is an especially controversial view I reckon most fans rate that Arsenal side as pick of the bunch, and as United have enjoyed so much success I don't see anything wrong with us showing our respect for class football from a rival team. -

Re: Unpopular Sport Opinions
Controversial opinion: Obsessively supporting a professional sports team is weird and actually kinda sad once you're a grownup. Its not like its the same group of players that you supported when you were a kid.
I mean, I have teams I like to watch and teams I like to see win, but it doesn't really upset me when they lose. I think this is a normal, healthy thing. It means far more to me whether the amateur sports team I play for win, because I am actually friends with all the people in the team. -
Re: Unpopular Sport OpinionsI do. I happen not to think that all footballers are all evil greedy "immoral" criminal monsters. Seems like i'm part of a tiny minority in this country of whingers.(Original post by hbk4894)
Do you think you have any sport(about any sport) opinion(s) that could be considered unpopular or even 'controversial'?
And baseball is VASTLY superior to cricket and it's a shame it never caught on. So I have to follow a team based thousands of miles away... sigh... -
Re: Unpopular Sport Opinionsi dont think thats overly fair - i think, in a similar manner to football fan, a small amount of footballers behaviour carves out the reputation for the rest(Original post by Jjj90)
