    I don't take notes, except from lectures. I actually find there's a strong correlation between taking loads of notes and wasting your time. It's not exactly gungho, it's actually rather sensible.

    I make sure I look through everything given in the textbook, otherwise I find that the obscure questions, if they come up in your exam, will leave you frustrated.
