    Is this an honour crime?
David Champion, 50, from Swansea, and his wife Frances, hit daughter Jane for "bringing shame" on the family.

If that quote is true then yes. Despite what the media says, honour crimes are not exlusive to muslims/asians (I'm assuming from the names these are not muslim or asian).

it is very much a honour crime, just cuz they are white doesnt mean they don't commit honour crimes but sub continent asians are still more likely to do it.

It's an honour crime because what they did was honourable and bought honour to the family, yes.

It's a crime. The concept of an "honour crime" is complete nonsense. If you think your child has brought shame on the family, ground them, stop giving them pocket money or take away their fun. Hitting your daughter is child abuse or assault (take your pick) and makes you a criminal.
