Paramedic Science FdSc-Help!!
Hi guys, I wonder if anyone could give me some advise on how to go about sucessfully gaining a place on this course for next September. I'm very interested at the this course at UWE and have I've been told it's a very competitive and difficult to gain a place. I'm about to start an Access to H.E course and I have some caring experience. Is there anything I could do between now and before I apply that may boost my chances? I'm also about to take my driving test in the next couple of weeks as I know driving is essential to become a paramedic. Would be very grateful for any suggestions/advice! Thanks!

Re: Paramedic Science FdSc-Help!!
get full cat C1 or C driving licence licence squared away as well as cat B
the exact nature of experience you get is less important than the stuff you can take from it and relate to effective practice as a health professional.
being a member of SJA or a first aid / emergency response/ T+E member of BRCS is not going to automatically open doors to you , and if you are not careful it can close them ( i.e. if you come into the application process thinking you already know all there is about pre-hospital care then you will put the backs of interviewers up )
