My dilemma...
So here goes. I got my results, which were disappointing. I needed ABB to get into uni, and I got BBBC. However, I got an A (75%) in my History prelim, and a high B in the final exam. Is this enough to appeal? Would the appeal be successful? I have no idea. And while I wait for the appeal to come through, can I apply for clearing courses? I'm kinda worried that I'll end up with nothing and not get in to uni this year...

Re: My dilemma...I assume that the offer showing on track is unsuccessful? It is difficult to get an appeal from a B to an A but it depends on how much evidence their is and whether it's sufficient. Contact your school ASAP and ask them to submit an emergency/priority appeal as it depends on university admission. Then call your university and tell them that although you have missed your offer, you have asked your school to submit an emergency appeal and discuss with them if they'll wait for the appeal to come back. In the meantime, you cannot apply for a clearing course if you still intend on going to the university which you missed your conditions for if the appeal is successful. If there's a course in clearing that you want to do and you would rather go to than your firm, then you can apply for it after contacting the university and discussing it with them. I think that's the case and maybe someone can confirm the clearing situation. Hope that makes sense.

Re: My dilemma...Thanks! That cleared some things up for me. Annoyingly, Track still hasn't been updated for me, but I'm assuming that it will be a rejection. I contacted my depute head at school and he said he would "leave a note" for the head of Social Subjects so he can file an appeal, which seems a bit lackadaisical to me but it doesn't seem like I can do anything else.(Original post by Ecosse_14)

Re: My dilemma...It could be worth contacting the university if track hasn't updated, even if it is just for confirmation that you've not been accepted.(Original post by craigster00)

Re: My dilemma...I contacted them and they're still considering my application. I sent them an email saying I've got an appeal going through and why I think I deserve to be accepted onto the course. Fingers crossed!(Original post by Ecosse_14)
