If you want to lose weight then you need to monitor your calorie intake. If you do it correctly then you'll lose weight without doing any exercise at all (although doing exercise would help you to stay under your calorie limit, and is advisable to do anyway).

Weight loss (purely and simply with no consideration of what weight loss) is simply maths: If you consume less than you use then you lose weight.

If you've not been losing weight then you are eating too much.

That's what you eat, not how much you eat. Simply eating 'healthier' doesn't make you lose weight, it helps, but if you still consume too many calories your weight will stay the same/increase.

A combination of one or more of the following:

    a) Low intensity exercise (eg. walking on the treadmills, lowest resistance on the bike) and convincing yourself that's adequate

    b) Eating too much

    c) Eating too little, so your body goes into a sort of starvation mode

    d) Drinking alcohol (or any high calorie drink) and not accounting for this

to lose weight i would recommend taking your bodyweight in lbs x 10 as a general guideline to daily intake of calories.

You can get some good website to help you figure it out too, but if you want to do it by hand, i'll recommend this,

1 grams of protein per lb of bodyweight, .5 grams of fat per lb of bodyweight, and the rest of the calories can come from carbs.

lifting weights is a good option, but don't rule cardio out, it depends on your goals. I think the important thing is not trying to pace yourself, but exert a good amount of energy in a short period of time. Try 'Wind Sprints' for example.

You do know that by exercising you're probably developing a bit of muscle as well, so you might be losing fat but gaining muscle.

And muscle weighs more than fat.

But yeah, like other posters have stated, a calorie deficit is needed, so make sure you're eating less calories than that is needed and you'll gradually burn fat.

Losing fat slowly is also better than losing fat quickly in terms of health

    Give it time!

The problem is that your doing TOO MUCH cardio training, you should limit cardio (running, bike swimming etc) to around 30-40 mins every other day. and do machine weight training in between those days. DO NOT do both resistance weight training and cardio on the same day, your body needs to rest and from rest is where you lose the weight. try to go to the gym 6 days a week and rest on perhaps sundays which is what i do. Count your calorie intake and eat 6 small meals a day to speed up your metabolism which will burn more fat even when your just sitting down. go to the gym BEFORE you eat anything in the morning and have your breakfast after your work outs. this forces your body to use the energy from the fat tissue in your body because you have minimal energy left in your muscles from sleeping and not eating (most energy comes from muscle remember), therefore you will be losing more fat by doing this.
If you do too much of the same thing like you have done i.e cardio workouts then your body will get used to routine and adapt as all human bodies do and stay as it is. you have to change it up and shock the body into doing something new every week or so.
dont be afraid to do free weight training and weight machines, they burn tremendous amounts of calories. YOU WONT become bulk like a man, your a women so you do not have the same level of testosterone for that too happen. use light weights and many repetitions between sets to tone up and heavier weights to increase muscle mass (not in the sense of like a man).
spend only 45-60 min in the gym, you can eat whatever you like on your rest day to boost up your energy for the next training week. alos when doing cardio, do interval training, dont jog for like 30 mins continuously which will only make your body adapt to it. interval would be run for 1 min on high speed then walk or stop for 30 seconds ( 2:1 ratio), keep doing this for 30-40 min and you will be noticing some change within a couple of weeks and good luck!!!

Also, STOP, i repeat STOP drinking alcohol if you haven't stopped already, only drink skim milk or water (2 litres per day for women, 3 for men).

Write down EVERYTHING you eat and drink for one day (make sure it's an average day). [Include in this your alcohol consumption if you don't have any based on an average for a week / 7 or month / 30. i.e. If you didn't have any alcohol on the recorded day, but on an average week you'll consume 14 pints of lager and a bottle of wine, include in this 2 pints of lager and 100ml of wine]

You've got to be eating more calories than your body needs and uses even with the additional exercise.

80% is the kitchen 20% is the gym. Sort out your diet and you'll be well on your way.
