How much will my AS results affect my uni applications?
I feel rather naive asking but I cannot find any information anywhere or anybody in a similar position so I was just wondering if anybody had any reassuring information they could offer. I am currently awaiting my AS results but I have dropped one of my three subjects and I am doing a whole A level in my second year to finish with three full A levels as opposed to two and just an extra AS. I'll be applying in January with 2 AS levels and awaiting A level results so does that mean I can only get a conditional? Will that affect my chances of getting any offers at all?

As long as your other two are good grades i can't think it will affect you badly.

And you would have always only gotten conditionals? I don't understand what you mean.

I couldn't imagine getting an unconditional when I'll only have 2 AS results. I'd surely only manage a conditional based on me getting a good results from the A level I do completely in my second year?

Even with 4 AS results 99% of people get conditionals, unconditionals are mainly for people that have already got the qualifications they need (i.e applying when already having A level results). With 2 AS's and waiting for a full A level result you should still get conditional offers as long as the AS grades are good along with your personal statement, refrences etc.
