PASS scan

We've been told to run our laptop past the scan to see whether our wireless devices is compatible and so we can use the internet.

I was wondering,do i need to do this on my smartphone? If you are a current student, did you do this on your phone and if you didn't,could you connect to the uni's wireless anyway?

Thanks in advance:smile:

The PASS scan is only for devices you intend to connect to the SNS. If you're using university wifi (which is *not* the SNS), you don't need to. The SNS is not accessible via wifi, so there's no need to run it on your phone.
